Study Reveals Why Men Don’t Ask for Directions

Let me just start this by saying that I guess I am not like most guys, in that I have no problem asking for directions! I hate wasting time just driving around.

Most guys hate to ask for directions or any other kind of help, for that matter. But, the question is why do they hate to ask for directions. According to a new study out of Duke University, the answer is simple...because they are judges more harshly and perceived as less competent.

In fact, when women are more aggressive or even speak up, people perceive them as worse leaders or less competent. In other words, we all still expect people to follow traditional gender roles. And, we judge them when they don't.
