I don’t know how your kids are, but my son goes into full fledged dead-weight floppy mode whenever my husband or I try to slather him in sunscreen. He reacts to the touch of our hands putting lotion on his body like it’s the most torturous thing in the world.

We just got back from a week-long vacation at my husband’s cabin in Canada and every day, we spent hours on the dock and in the water. It was super fun each time we had to reapply our little guy’s sunscreen. Clearly, I’m being fictitious. It was like trying to wrestle loose Jello.

Nivea, the skincare brand, came up with an (cough) interesting idea to try to get kids to wear sunscreen and by the looks of it, the campaign wasn’t exactly popular. Hmmm, I can’t imagine why.

The campaign was called "Care From The Air," and basically they had a robotic seagull that “pooed” sunscreen on kids at the beach. I wish I were joking. I'm not.
