Matthew Stahl of Montrose was born on June 15, 2004, and was a little ball of energy right from the start, full of constant smiles. As he grew, Matthew developed an infectious giggle and a passion for each thing that he did.

Matthew loved going to church and he especially loved reading from his  “Action Bible” and “Comic Book Bible”. One of the last pages that Matthew read was based on Matthew 9:9 which reads, "As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.” (NIV)

Matthew was so excited to show his mom and dad the picture in his Bible of Jesus saying “Matthew, come and follow me.”  Little did anyone know, heaven really would be calling Matthew home shortly. On October 29th 2012, Matthew’s precious little life came tio an abrupt end because of a weather-related accident.
