I don't know about you, but I think that The Notebook is possibly the greatest fictional love story of all time. I love how it demonstrates that true love can withstand anything, even memory loss. I know that The Notebook is just a movie, but I believe that true love never dies- even in real life. Apparently, so does Sam Maller.

Alfred and Sylvia Paley have been married for 67 years and have had a pretty special life together, creating countless memories. Sadly, 89-year-old Alfred was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

The couple's grandson, Maller believes as I do that although memories can fade and even be lost, true love never dies- we just need to be reminded of them every now and then.

Maller is a journalism student at Syracuse University and has created a stunning and  moving video tribute which includes interviews and photos of his grandparents as they chronicle their life together, from the time they met as teens to today, 67 years later.

Maller's hope is that the video will preserve their memories and that others will see it and understand that just because Alzheimer's cause great challenges, it can't erase the love between two people.

This is the beautiful story that belongs to Alfred and Sylvia.
