Tanya And The Kids Go To Darien Lake

Every fall the kids and I go to Darien Lake. There are a few weekends that they decorate it for Halloween and it's tons of fun. They have several Halloween themed shows including a haunted house. We like it because it's not crowded at all! There is no waiting in lines and it's not hot! And prices of tickets are actually very reasonable.They have lots of Halloween crafts and even have trick or treating for the kids. They also have live music throughout the park.

We went Saturday. We got a little later of a start than I was hoping for because Caleb's football game ended later then usual. But we got there around 5pm. That gave us plenty of time!

I had told my kids after the last amusement park we went to that I was done going on roller coasters. I hate them! But I would always go on them with the kids. I really hate the ones that have the harness that comes down around your shoulders. One time I got stuck in one of those, for some reason they couldn't unlock mine and I realized in that moment I was a little claustrophobic. So I told them that I wasn't going to go on any like that anymore. Well my kids tricked me into going on one! They showed me that you only had a lap bar that came across you so it wasn't a big deal or scary. I figured they were probably right. As we were climbing to the top of a mountain Alexis looked at me and said "you know this goes straight down right?" I said "NO!!!!" Apparently 'Ride of Steel' is the Superman ride and it goes STRAIGHT down. It was horrible! I never would have gone on if I had known! They enjoyed the ride and really enjoyed watching me freak out. Other than that ride we had a great day and we had a lot of fun.
