Tanya Enjoys Binghamton Restaurant Week With Her Family At Lost Dog
I love Binghamton Restaurant Week! It’s a splurge because I don’t normally get an appetizer, entree AND dessert! Last night the kids and I went to Lost Dog for dinner. Lost Dog is one place that we go to regularly because I eat gluten-free and they cater to that. Plus it’s always delicious!
First we started off with appetizers. Both Caleb and myself got the Sun-Dried Tomato Dip, I got mine gluten-free. I’ve tried making the sun-dried tomato dip at home and I cant duplicate it! Alexis got the Berry Baked Brie. She knew before we got to Lost Dog that she was getting that because it’s one of her favorites!
Then we had our entrees and I got the Strip Loin that had pancetta Barolo wine reduction and mashed potatoes. REALLY good! I decided to try something new that isn’t normally on the menu and I was happy I did that. The kids both got Rigatoni Ala Vodka which is one of their all time favorite meals. I get that sometimes too because they can make it with the gluten-free pasta which is great because most places don’t give you that option. The Ala Vodka sauce on that is so delicious! If you’ve never had this you have to try it, you won’t be disappointed!
Then we got to move on to dessert! I love dessert. Sweets are my indulgence. I ordered the Skor Bar Toffee cheesecake, toffee is one of my favorite sweet treats so I had to try this cheesecake! Caleb and Alexis both got the Triple Salted Caramel Cake. Both we delicious!
Lost Dog is one of our favorite downtown restaurants and last night proved why. We had excellent service and amazing food. Make sure to take advantage of restaurant week which goes till the 26th. It’s a way to support Binghamton and Restaurant Week supports CHOW – Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.
