My favorite band is Breaking Benjamin, who happens to be from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania! I have see them many times and each time they blow my mind. One of the coolest shows I saw them perform at was their private CD release party. It was intimate with less than 200 people there. Work had hooked me up with an exclusive ticket, you know, the perks of working at a radio station! Afterwards some of us went the drummer's house for an after-party.

Fast forward a couple of years and now my children love listening to Breaking Benjamin! So for my son, Caleb's birthday, we got him tickets to go see the band in Rochester. He was pretty excited because he had never seen them before. This past Saturday I took him and his friend, Keagan to the show. It was at the Main Street Armory and if you've never been there, inside reminds me of a huge gym and up above all around the perimeter of the room is balcony seating.

So I asked Caleb if he wanted to sit in the balcony or be on the floor, he said he wanted to be on the floor. We were very close to the stage, which made it an amazing show! Everyone had a blast! But the best part of the night was when it was over and we were leaving, Caleb turned to me, gave me a hug and said, "Thank you mom, for tonight! I love you." That melted my heart! There is no greater joy than having a happy teenager!
