Tanya’s Best Yard Sale Find Ever

Years ago I happened to pass a yard sale and something caught my attention. I remember it was a dresser that looked like something I could use. However, when I got out of the car to look at it, there was a sold tag on it so I started walking back to my car, and that is when I found my best yard sale find ever!

It was a hot pink Barbie Convertible Power Wheels and it was only $5! I had looked at purchasing Power Wheels before, brand new they were over $300. I couldn't believe how it was in such great condition and came with the battery and it all worked.

So the homeowner came over and asked if I had little ones. I replied that I had a son who was a little under 2 years old and a daughter on the way (which was pretty obvious). The homeowner told me I should buy the car and save it for my daughter, but I had a better plan.

I gave him my money and headed home. But before I went home I made a stop at the store and bought a big can of black spray paint. I spray painted the hot pink car black!

I have to say, it looked way better black! My son, Caleb loved that car. He used it for several years, as did my daughter. After they outgrew it we donated it to the Salvation Army.
