Here is what this week's letter writer has to say:

"I've been going out with a guy for four months, and he's a little bit older . . . I'm in my late 20's, he's in his late 30's. We spent last weekend together, and the first day we hung out, we were all over each other. But the second day was a little weird.  All we did was order pizza and watch a movie. There was no making out, no NOTHING. Is that weird?  We're pretty comfortable around each other . . . does he think he's too old to still have make-out sessions?"

I think you're the one with an issue with the age difference here. Maybe it was moving too fast for him? Maybe he was worried he would lose control and cross a line he doesn't want to cross yet. I wouldn't think much about it at all as long as other aspects of the relationship are going good. It's okay when you're trying to get to know each other to pull back on the physical part.
