This is what this week's letter writer had to say:

My wife loves decorating for holidays, especially Halloween. In fact, she loves it so much she pretty much already started celebrating it. When I came home from work on Friday, there were four pumpkins on our dining room table. My wife said they're the Halloween pumpkins for our family to carve. She's also started making pumpkin-themed desserts like pumpkin pie and pumpkin fudge. It's only the second week in September, isn't that way too early to start with the Halloween stuff? Shouldn't you wait until October to buy pumpkins?"

No. She is having fun with it and your kids, plus you're reaping the rewards with her making pumpkin desserts! I say who cares! Let her have fun. Besides stores started putting Halloween stuff out in AUGUST! So mid-September sounds about right to me.
