Tanya’s Midweek Crisis Letter- My Boyfriend’s ‘April Fool’s’ Joke Was To Tell Me He Loves Me

Here is what today's letter writer has to say:

"Yesterday was April Fools' Day, and even though my boyfriend is 33, he still plays juvenile pranks on people. After a year of dating, he finally told me he loves me yesterday.  But he wasn't serious.  It was his APRIL FOOL'S JOKE. He completely toyed with my emotions.  Luckily I didn't have a chance to say it back, but still, it sucked.

Is that something worth breaking up over?  What's the best way I can get back at him?"

I think that was really mean of him! And you should really consider why you've been dating an entire year and you haven't said the 'L' word to each other. With that being said....maybe he was testing the waters to see how you would react? And when you didn't say it back, he pulled the 'I'm only joking"? I think if you love him, you should say it. And I think you should tell him what he did hurt your feelings.
