Even as an adult, I am lost when I don't have my phone on me. I feel naked (sorry for the visual). So, I totally get where these teens are coming from who took part in this study.

Business Insider published a study that was done with teenagers who had all of their media taken away, including their TV, internet and phones. They had to do without them for 24 hours. The responses from the teenagers were typical of what you would expect.

Check out their reactions:

A kid in England -  "Emptiness.  Emptiness overwhelms me.

A kid in China -  "The feeling of nothing passed into my heart.  I felt like I had lost something important."

A kid in Uganda - "I felt like there was a problem with me."

Another kid in Uganda - "I counted down minute by minute and made sure I did not exceed even a single second more."

A kid in Mexico -  "The anxiety continued . . . various scenarios came into my head, from kidnapping to extraterrestrial invasions."

And finally, a kid in America, said, "It felt as though I was being tortured."

Could you go a day without any media??
