If you have (had) a teenage daughter, or were one... then you understand the struggle of growing up and learning to love yourself. It's more difficult for woman to accept our bodies and who we are, and middle school/high school days have to be the most challenging.

The most difficult part of having a teenage girl in this day and age is the Internet... they are so prone to research and believe anything put online. I personally remember using the Internet to find weight loss tips, dieting tips, make my hair longer, acne less, etc. I could have gone to my mom (who was and still is very supportive), but that means admitting to your insecurities.

The Dove Beauty commercials have to be my favorite of all time. They talk about the problems and silent questions no one else will address. They show woman that we are all insecure, but we don't need to be because we are all beautiful in our own unique ways and that's what makes us special!

The newest Dove campaign took place in Australia, where they gathered parents (mostly mothers) of teenage girls and showed them what they typically search online. As you can imagine, the results were heart breaking and reflect the struggles our young girls are still facing each day.
