Another year of the Food-A-Bago has come and gone.  I can't believe how time flies by from year to year.

I want to thank everyone who stopped by the camper to donate food!  Every bit of food that was collected goes to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse or C.H.O.W.  And, it stays right here in the greater Binghamton area.

The holidays can be stressful, especially if you can not put food on the table for your family.  Your donation means more than you will ever know.

Being in the Food-A-Bago is a lot of fun for me.  I love when people come by with their stories on how they utilized C.H.O.W. in the past, are back on their feet and now want to return the favor.  Also, when families bring their children by to donate food and explain to them the importance of giving back to your community.

Donations were, however, down a bit this year.  I am thinking it is because this very generous community wanted to help our neighbors to the south cope with Hurricane Sandy.

If you did not have a chance to stop by the camper and donate, you can always make a donation to C.H.O.W.  Their need is always there, so don't think that the need is just there during the holidays.  Also, cash donations are a great help to them.  They can get better deals on buying bulk and can get foods that are specifically needed in the pantry.

Have a great holiday!
