Nelson Shanks is an artist who got the incredible opportunity to paint Bill Clinton's official presidential portrait, for the National Portrait Gallery. That's usually a big deal, but it looks like this guy just wanted fame at President Clinton's expense.

He says he secretly hid a reference to Monica Lewinsky in the portrait.  There's a shadow on the wall next to Clinton that shouldn't be there in the shape of a dress.

Nelson said that after he had painted the presidents image and he had left to resume his presidential duties. Nelson, the painter, was left alone to paint the room. Nelson said he then put a blue dress like Lewinsky's on a mannequin, and painted its shadow.

"The reality is, Clinton is probably the most famous liar of all time. He and his administration did some very good things, of course, but I could never get this Monica thing completely out of my mind and subtly incorporated it."

He also says The Clinton's know about the Monica reference, and have tried to get the painting removed from the gallery. The museum says that's a lie, but they're not currently showing it, since there are so many other Clinton paintings.

You know, by artists that aren't jerk faces.
