We all know the feeling. It’s early morning, time to drag yourself out of bed and head to work. What's the fuel that gets you out the door and looking semi put together? That's right, coffee.

Midway through your day you’re probably craving another cup of joe to get you to quitting time, but did you know there is certain time you should cut yourself off from enjoying a cup of your favorite hot beverage?

According to The Huffington Post, studies show that coffee should not be consumed after 11am for better sleep results. Too much caffeine in your system can keep you up at night even if it’s been eight hours since your last cup.

Did you know coffee can prevent diseases as well as keep us focus in the morning? Yes, it's true coffee is good for our livers and our brains.

Here are some other helpful hints about your coffee to keep in mind when pouring your next cup:

  1. Clean the pot - To avoid bacteria from building up inside the coffee pot, make sure to clean the pot at least once a week with white vinegar and warm water.
  2. Perfect water for perfect coffee - If you avoid drinking your tap water, do not brew coffee with your tap water. The best tasting coffee is normally bottled or filtered. For better quality home brewed coffee, we recommend filtered water verse tap.
  3. Storing the grinds - Store coffee in an air-tight container immediately after opening to avoid going stale.
