So my children want to go trick or treating tonight with their friends but no parents. This concerns me greatly. At what age should they be allowed to venture out without adults? If it was up to me I'd say 25! But I think I have found a good compromise that will make my children and myself happy.

There is a phone app that sends texts messages with the child's location. It allows parents to set a maximum distance that kids can go and sends a message if they exceed the distance. You do need GPS on the phone to operate. It also lets the tick or treater send a message if they're in trouble.

The company behind the app is called Iconosys. I checked out their website and I am defiantly going to be downloading it before the kids go out tonight!
