After reading this story that I have to share, there's no doubt in my mind that you will implement a no-shoe policy in your home too.

Once upon a time, it was a beautiful, summer day and I was at a Yankees game with my brother.  People were enjoying the weather, the game and of course, the drinking. One woman in particular started to walk up the stairs, or shall I say stumble up the stairs. Naturally, she suddenly stopped and proceeded to vomit all over the steps. After that, I watched everyone walk up those same stairs, not seeing the vomit and stepping right in it!

I can only imagine that these people went home later that day and tracked some that woman's vomit through their house. Studies have shown that people bring in all sorts of harmful toxins from outside the home when they walk into the house without removing their shoes.

These toxins survive in the form of dust, which is inhaled and absorbed by our skin as it settles on floors and furniture. Chemicals stay in the air and on surfaces longer in our homes than they do outdoors, where the sun and rain help break down pesticide residues.

Have I convinced you to not wear your shoes in the house?  I hope so!  Check out the full story about the dangers of wearing shoes in the house at homehealthlove.com.
