I don't know about you, but when my alarm clock goes off, I just want to throw it out the window!  I wish I had an easier time getting up in the morning.  I am not sure if this new-age alarm clock would help or just make me poor!

American inventor Rich Olson combined an alarm clock and a paper shredder to create a device that shreds your money if you don't get up and turn it off. He programmed the alarm clock to tear up a one dollar bill if the user doesn't turn it off within a few seconds.

A YouTube clip of the device in action has been getting a lot of attention although some have pointed out that Olson might be committing a federal offense by destroying currency. Olson played down the risk, commenting, "To all those saying the feds are going to take me away - I'm not that concerned."  (Ananova)

If anything, the company you work for should pay for this alarm clock for you!
