Alright, so this is going to sound farfetched, but trust me, it works. We even have a professor at the University of Pennsylvania's studies to back it up. Positive thoughts and activities make you happier and help you achieve your goals.

Here's what you should do, every night, write down three positive things that happened that day. They don't have to be big things either. Your list could include:

1) I got a compliment on my new shoes.
2) I was mentioned in a meeting for being a big help with inventory.
3) I got to work 20 minutes early today!

Then next to each of those write why it happened:

1) I got a compliment on my new shoes. Blue and white look good with my dress.
2) I was mentioned in a meeting for being a big help with inventory. I like to count stuff.
3) I got to work 20 minutes early today! I laid off the snooze for once!

That's it! The professor says that his studies have shown that it forces you to focus on the positives in your life. In turn forcing you to be happier! Heck, I know people who cut out pictures of their dream homes, cars, and piles of money from magazines and stick them to a 'Goal Wall' in order to focus on them every day. They then say to themselves, "I will own these", to simply use positive thoughts to drive them daily.

It's good stuff!
