I always feel like I don't get enough sleep so I really want the sleep I do get be the best night's sleep possible. "Real Simple" put out an article giving six tips to a good night's sleep. I'll give you the three I thought we really good.

1. Stick to your schedule, even on weekends. This is very hard for me! I don't want to get up at 4am on a Saturday. But I do notice if I get up at 7am on the weekends, it isn't as difficult to get up come Monday.

2. Take an hour to wind down before bed. Don't consume any stimulants like coffee or caffeinated drinks. Also don't exercise right before bed. Your brain associates bright lights with daytime and it releases stimulants so make sure to dim lights and stay off computers.

3. Eat a LIGHT snack about 30 minutes before bed.  Maybe something like cheese and crackers or something with tryptophan. I always thought you SHOULDN'T eat before bed, so I'm loving this tip! Of course this isn't an excuse to eat the big hot fudge sundae.

What do you do personally to help you sleep better at night?
