Everyone wants to have a memorable wedding day and rightfully so. But, a lot of people think if they plan their wedding for a day that falls on a significant day, such as a holiday, they're creating a "wow" impact, but according to USA Today, there are some holidays that are just awful for people to get married on.

Earth Day is probably a safe day to get married on. And probably so is President's Day, but there are five holidays you'll want to avoid planning a wedding on because there's a almost perfect chance if you do, you'll have quite a few empty seats at your reception.

    Memorial Day

The last Monday of May is a day that really should be spent honoring the memory of those who gave of their lives in service to our military and it's pretty disrespectful to have a wedding celebration on such a somber day. Not only that, but it's the unofficial kickoff to summer and most people will already have plans for that weekend.

    Labor Day

Memorial Day is the unofficial kick-off to summer and Labor Day is the unofficial close to the summer season. Just as most people will probably have plans for Memorial Day weekend, they probably also will for Labor Day.

    Fourth of July

I can see why some people would think this would be an awesome day for a wedding because you could cap off your reception with free fireworks, but the 4th of July is undoubtedly the biggest party day of the summer and you guest might not exactly consider a wedding reception the party they had in mind.

    Thanksgiving

Everyone knows Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and traditions. Having a wedding on this day would mess with both and that's not cool.

  • 5

    Christmas

Just like Thanksgiving, Christmas is a holiday steeped in family time and traditions and so you'll want to avoid this day unless you don't care if nobody shows up for your wedding.
