New York State Police say, while it appears a Town of Union woman left home on her own accord December 29, she is still considered a missing person.

Investigators say there is evidence that 22 year old Allyson Cheechalk-Buttman may have met someone on line before she apparently took a bus to New York City but her leaving without talking to family is out of the ordinary.

Authorities say the woman apparently has a mild form of a disorder on the autism spectrum but is capable of caring for herself.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 775-1241.
