Some areas are still recovering from the flash flooding that hit the Twin Tiers in July.

While some lanes of Route 17 in Tioga County, New York in the area of Nichols are back open with full reopening of the highway slated to happen by Labor Day, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says some country roads in Bradford County remain closed.

PennDOT says Leraysville Road between Cadis Road and Route 187 in Windham Township may not open until October as a bridge is repaired and work is continuing on Battle Creek Road between Arnold Road/North Orwell Road in Rome Township and Waterman Road in Windham Township.  That road may reopen August 21st.

Motorists are advised that, while many roads are open to traffic, crews are continuing to work on debris removal and repairs and slowdowns or lane shifts could be possible.
