Two Tompkins County residents are facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in the Village of Owego.

Owego Police say 31 year old Christian Little-Paz of Ithaca and 23 year old Jessica Sawatzky of Newfield were arrested on North Avenue May 4.

Police say they found Sawatzky in possession of cannabis oil, ecstasy and prescription medications while her passenger allegedly lied about his identity and had controlled substances worth about $3,000 on the street.

Authorities say a search of the vehicle found heroin, a quarter pound of marijuana, a half ounce of MDMA, or ecstasy, and 33 vape vials of cannabis oil.

It was discovered that Little-Paz was wanted by New York State Parole.  He was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $40,000 bail after being charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal impersonation.

Sawatzky was charged with four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.  She was released to await her next date in court.
