My parents have been married for 39 years. If that isn't love, then I don't know what is. Even so, they still fight just like every other couple does. Bustle says that there are things that all married couples fight about, so see if you or anyone you know can agree to this.

  • What "clean" looks like because chances are, you and your husband won't always agree that something is clean. Whether one likes it clean enough to eat off of, the other might think that a quick sweep with a broom would suffice. Cleaning will always have to be done, and so this fight may always exist.
  • How often to have sex now that you're married, you are stuck with this partner for life! If one of you is satisfied with sex once a week, but the other wants it three or four times a week, you may fight about this a lot. Sex drives are weird sometimes and you can't always control when you're in the mood. Communication about your needs is incredibly important.
  • What to spend money on is a conversation that is difficult to navigate. One of you will want to save more while the other will want to spend their money right away! Try to find a middle ground where both parties will be happy. It's hard to agree on things sometimes though, so you may end up fighting about this as a married couple.

My parents have been able to make it work for nearly four decades. If I can take a page out of their book and find success at love like they have, I will be extremely lucky. Hopefully, you can find that luck, too.
