Where Did The ‘Bunny Ears’ Hand Gesture Originate?

I have nieces and nephews that get a big kick out of giving me 'bunny ears' every time a picture is taken. It seems innocent enough, right?

However, the history of the 'bunny ears' is not so innocent. Did you know...that the 'bunny ears' hand gesture used to be called "cuckold's horns". People used to hold it up behind a guy's head if they knew his wife was cheating on him.

Is my niece in the picture trying to tell me something?? :)
