Where Has Customer Service Gone?

It might be better for my stress levels if I just don’t go out to eat anymore!  This weekend was full of frustrating situations with different restaurants!

Let me start with Saturday’s events.  My parents were celebrating their anniversary.  My brothers and sisters came into town to celebrate with them.  We decided to go to dinner at 5P.M.  So, my brother called around to find a place to eat.

The response we got from, not one but two places, surprised us.  Both places we called said that they could not accommodate 15 people at 5P.M. because it is dinner time and that would ‘tie up’ too many tables.  I cannot make this stuff up!

Then, on my way to work this morning, I stopped for a biscuit at a fast food restaurant.  Simple enough order right?  Wrong!  I get to the window, and 7 minutes later a worker comes to the window to tell me they just put biscuits down and it will be several more minutes.  They couldn’t come to the window sooner to give me the heads up?

Thank goodness I own the vending machine at the radio station!

I guess I should just lower my standards when eating out or stay home!

Do you have a similar story of a frustrating dining out experience?  I would love to hear about it.
