As the weather warms up and the sun starts peeking out from behind the clouds on a more regular basis, we're starting to emerge from the homes we've been cooped up in all winter and we're on the hunt for a sweet treat.

Ice cream has been a special treat for me throughout my entire life. I have special memories of my grandparents taking me to Friendly's for an ice cream treat after church on Sundays, or following a dance recital.  And in high school, my friends and I used to walk to the ice cream shop directly across the street from our high school. To this day when I go back home and drive by it, I'm flooded with memories of innocent days before adulthood.
