Every year on the anniversary of 9/11 I don't have to ask myself where I was.  My mind automatically flashes back to that dreadful day that started out as another normal September day. I am sure a lot of people would like to forget that day all together. However, I remember it because the days to follow reminded me how proud I am to say that I am from Binghamton, NY.  On the afternoon of 9/11, my Program Director called me and asked me to go to the Town Square Mall with the station van to collect supplies. Those supplies would be sent to Ground Zero. The next couple days blew my mind. Broome County residents dropped off over 8 tractor trailers full of supplies. Everything from bottled water, to work boots, to vitamin bars. And, if that wasn't enough, we raised over $200,000 for the efforts.  As I sit at home and watch those horrific images on TV from that day, I am reminded how great our community is!  On a side note, I never knew how cheesy my mustache was until after I got rid of it!
