Have you ever had a job that you hated? I'm not talking about a job that annoyed you because there were other things you'd rather be doing, but a job that you full on hated. A job you dreaded so much that you felt sick whenever you pulled into the parking lot.

If the answer is "yes," good for you!

Those who know such things say that it's very good for everyone to have a job that they loathe at some point in their life because it helps you grow professionally. You might feel like you're going through hell, but chin up because suffering through a bad job will do several things for you, including these four things.

  • 1

    It Builds Character

When you put your feelings aside to do a job, that's called being an adult. Unfortunately being an adult isn't always roses, but you can't move on to something bigger and better if you don't follow through on your current responsibilities. And then there's the other reason- bills and rent. You can't throw a fit and just quit when you have bills to pay- you have to wait for something else to come along.

Strengths and Weaknesses Will Be Highlilghted

Think about it- you probably hate doing what you're not so great at, right? Well, if you're working a job that you don't like it gives you the opportunity to take a good look at what you do and don't like about it and then you can focus on your strengths and weaknesses and put that to work in finding a different job.

  • 3

    It Motivates You

You might feel completely deflated and miserable, but remember this- the very best way to find a new job is when you currently have one because you're super motivated to find a job that makes you happy instead of miserable.

    It Gives You Appreciation

It takes all kinds of people to make the world go round and there is a job out there for each type of person. Believe it or not, there's someone who can't wait to slide into the job you hate and vice versa. When you do a job you don't like, it gives you appreciation for those who do enjoy it and do it well.
