Get excited Wiz Khalifa fans! The "Teach U to Fly" rapper announced that his new mixtape, Khalifa, is coming real soon.

The Taylor Gang leader plans to release the project on Jan. 22. He dropped the news while on the Golden Globes red carpet with E! News personality Giuliana Rancic on Sunday (Jan. 10)

“I got a new album on the way. It’s coming out January 22,” he told Rancic. “I came off of two really successful tours this year, so we’re gearing up for some more tours now.”

Khalifa nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for best original song for Furious 7's "See You Again," but ultimately lost to Spectre's "Writings On The Wall" by Sam Smith.

But whether he won or not, the rhymer knows this is a big step for himself and the Taylor gang. “Stuff like this, the Golden Globes and just new opportunities, are gonna open up it up for me and the gang this whole year," he said.

And the loss is far from likely to stop the rhymer from pushing forward. Between his forthcoming tape, Khalifa, and his upcoming LP, Rolling Papers 2, the 28-year-old rhymer also has a three-year-old son, Sebastian, to father.

"That boy is getting big!" he said in the E! interview. Khalifa, who brought his mom as a date the award show, also found himself in a controversial discussion as he gave her a kiss on the lips.
