Workers Publicly Spanked for Poor Performance

Let me just tell you this right now. If anyone ever comes at me and tries to spank me as a punishment for something, you're definitely going to hear about it on the news. No way would that ever be considered acceptable in my book and especially not in a workplace!

Can you even fathom if your boss thought you weren't doing a good enough job and told you that they were going to spank you? And yet this really did happen and in real life, not in some bizarre movie.

A video of a training session in China has started making the internet rounds...and well, the training definitely got weird when employees were publicly spanked for poor performance.

The training was being held for employees of a bank and in the video, the speaker told eight employees who were standing on the stage that they hadn't “exceed themselves.”

The man then told them to “get your butts ready” and proceeded to spank them with a stick or piece of wood in front of 200 co-workers. The BBC reports that the trainer also cut and shaved the hair of the eight people.

The trainer has since issued an apology. I don't know about you, but an apology wouldn't be enough to pacify me. If you'd like, you can see the video here.
