Would You Do What This Mother Did To Her Daughter As A Punishment For Bullying?

iStockphoto

Do you believe in an “eye for an eye”? This mother is Utah did! She found out her 10 year old daughter was bullying a girl for her unflattering clothes so she went to a thrift shop and bought her two ugly dresses and made her wear them to school.

I don’t think I would have taken this approach, although I don’t feel it was wrong. I would have made my child go to the girl’s house with flowers or a necklace or some sort of small gift and apologize to the girl AND her parents. I would require my child to sit with that girl at lunch and befriend her, get to know her. Bullying is a serious issue and I wouldn’t take this lightly.

What would you do if you found out your child was being a bully? Would you do what this mother did?
