YES! Safe Choices Continues To Be Positive Impact For Students

Senator Tom Libous co-founded the Yes! program more than 27 years ago as a way to fight drug and alcohol abuse. He knew that the best asset we have in this community is our young people!

What is YES? YES is a unique youth leadership program focused on drug and alcohol prevention. They work to educate the young people of our area about the dangers of substance abuse and offer fun and safe activities for families to spend quality time together.

Every event show kids that, despite what they may see or hear in the media or through peer pressure, they can make ‘safe choices’ and still have fun.

I had the honor and privilege to be part of many of the events that were held for the organization. It was very obvious that Senator Libous was passionate about this program!

Last night was the Yes! Safe Choices awards ceremony at the McKinley in Endicott and Senator Fred Akshar said that when he took office, it was a "no-brainer" to keep this great program going and funded!

We were lucky to have Senator Libous on our side and we are now lucky to have Senator Fred Akshar in our corner! Thank you!
