It's OK to load up on the nuts. They are not only a great snack but I just found out that there are a ton of health benefits to eating them, too!

I don't think of nuts too often when I am hungry. But, I need to change my thinking if I want to start reaping the benefits that nuts have.

According to an article from Men's Health Magazine, if you are not eating a lot of nuts, you should reconsider eating more. They've been shown to lower cholesterol, boost heart health, and even lengthen life.

If you're still not sold, try this: A new study out of Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital found that people who eat five or more servings of nuts per week have less inflammation, you know, the culprit linked to heart disease and cancer. We'd opt for walnuts, for their heart healthy omega-3s, but almonds and cashews are also tough nuts to beat.
