Is this considered having peace of mind or something else? If you are a registered gun owner, you might want to consider this insurance.

Plan on "standing your ground" any time soon? Got an itchy trigger finger? Like to keep lots of loaded weapons laying around the house? Maybe you should get "If I Shoot Someone" insurance. Yes, that's a thing now. Several hundred thousand U.S. gun owners now subscribe to a service that promises immediate legal and financial protection for a shooting provided you can reasonably argue it was justified.

For just over $10 a month, U.S. Law Shield pledges to get you a good lawyer for "zero" money. Compare that to the $1.5 million in legal fees George Zimmerman racked up after he killed Trayvon Martin in 2012. Of course not everyone is happy with this. Geraldine Hills, founder of Arizonans for Gun Safety, and whose brother was murdered, said, "Basically, this insurance is helping people get away with murder." Oh, there's also the "platinum" package which promises to cover up to $1 million in legal fees and civil damages, plus "immediate bail bonding up to $10,000" and "interrogation and grand jury protection up to $125,000."

And according to the website, all weapons are covered. Guns, knives, legal flame throwers, your bare hands - whatever you got. (The Star)

What are your thoughts on this? I would love to hear from you!
