Who doesn't love a set of beautiful blue eyes. If you are a sucker for someone who is sporting a pretty set of blue eyes, you might want to rethink your attraction.

According to a new study from the University of Vermont, reporting in the American Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, the researchers find that among European-Americans, those with light-colored eyes -- such as green or gray in the center -- have higher rates of alcohol dependency than Euro-Americans with dark brown eyes.

The link is strongest in blue-eyed people. Researcher Dawei Li said, "We still don't know the reason," but they do know that the very genes that determine eye color are situated along the same chromosome as genes that are known to be linked to alcohol dependency.

Lucky for me, my eyes are brown...but people say that it means I'm full of you know what! Do you know someone with blue eyes? And, if you do, do they fall into this study?
