The idea of throwing out all of my pajamas and just sleeping naked makes me wonder about how cold I would get in the middle of the night. However, Bustle says that a lot of interesting things happen when you choose to sleep in the nude.

  • Better quality of sleep occurs when you sleep naked because your body is able to regulate its' temperature while you sleep as opposed to having your pajamas dictate a warmer-than-your-body-wants temperature in the night.
  • Improved hair and skin which is due to the fact that you would be sweating less and no longer dehydrating your body through the night with your pajamas keeping your body temperature higher.
  • Increased oxytocin when you sleep with someone else in bed and you're both choosing to sleep without any clothes on, it may lead to more intimacy and with that comes the increase in oxytocin.

When your body cannot regulate its' own temperature, a lot of things can happen to affect your sleep. If you ever wake up in the middle of the night sweating, you might want to try sleeping naked!
