A bedtime routine is a nice thing to have. It gets your mind ready for sleep and helps you have a good nights rest, but some of the things we do as a part of our bedtime routine can have a serious affect on our skin! Follow these few tricks to ensure your skin is always glowing after you wake up.

  1. Shower before bed
    Surprisingly enough, if your hair is really dirty at night it can lead to breakouts, whether it's in a pony or down! And bangs, if not pinned back, can also be an acne culprit. If you can’t squeeze in a wash before bed, the next best option is to wash along your hairline then pull hair into a loose braid or bun.
  2. Don't eat sugary midnight snacks
  3. Change your pillowcases frequently 
    Dirt, oil, and makeup can easily transfer to your pillow throughout the night. If you’re not cleaning that pillowcase often enough, it can lead to acne. You should swap your pillowcase at least twice a week in order to keep it clean. Also, make sure you’re taking off your makeup before bed!

Of course we all want glowing and gorgeous skin, so just make sure you're taking all the precautions you can!
