It seems that everything these days contributes to our weight issues. But, I would have never thought that my house could be doing it too.

We all know that ice cream, pizza and milkshakes can make us fat. But, it's true that our house could be making us heavy as well. According to a study from Webmd.com, your home can be contributing to your weight issues.

Open floor plans that remove visual and physical barriers between people and food may contribute to overeating. The opposite also holds true. People who live in homes with enclosed kitchens consume fewer calories.

"During a study, when the students ate in the open plan within view of the kitchen and buffet table, they were more likely to go back for seconds -- and eat more food."

Experts say an easy and painless way to reduce the number of calories you eat could be as simple as facing away from the serving area.
