While recently on vacation at our family cabin in Canada, my husband and I were going through a dusty old bin in the loft that was filled with books, toys, and puzzles to see if we could find anything that our little boy would like to play with when we stumbled on something that I’m absolutely convinced must now be a collector’s item.

What we found was an OJ Simpson Buffalo Bills jigsaw puzzle in mint condition. You might remember that OJ played the position of running back for the Buffalo Bills from 1969 to 1977. Obviously, there were greater players than he, but we know what went down in 1994 and this is why I believe the puzzle has to be worth something, although I’ve got no idea how much because an extensive search for a similar OJ puzzle online hasn’t yielded any results.

If you tend to hold onto things, you might want to do some digging through your basement and attic because you might just turn up a gold mine.

According to USA Today, all of the electronics that you played with as a kid and in college could be worth a pretty penny. These days, collectors of vintage finds are hunting for Nintendo GameBoys and other video gaming systems and cartridges from the early 2000s. Collectors are also looking for vintage record players, old rotary phones, television sets from the 1960s and even iPods.

So, if you’ve got any of those things and all they’re doing is taking up space and collecting dust, you might want to think of selling! Speaking of selling, Binghamton’s 2nd Annual Largest Garage and Craft sale is happening on Saturday, September 22nd from 10 a.m. To 3 p.m. At the Oakdale Mall and there will be thousands of shoppers on hand. If you’re interested in being a vendor, pick up your registration form here.
