My husband just mentioned to me how much he wished that there was an opportunity for him to play softball on the weekends because most of the adult leagues around here play weeknights when he works. So, you can only imagine how awesome it was for me to be able to tell Jay that he's got a chance to play softball on a weekend with 'Angel in the Outfield!'

If you love baseball or softball like my husband does, lace up your cleats and put on your glove because a fun day of play is planned with the second annual 'Angel in the Outfield' Co-ed Softball Tournament!

You're invited to join the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier this Saturday, September 17th at the 17C Sports Complex in Endicott (across from En-Joie Golf Course).

The fun starts at 10am and admission is free to both spectators and fans. In addition to the softball tournament, there will also be music, a 50-50 raffle, and BBQ from 12pm-6pm.

The reason for this fun event is that the Mental Health Association hopes to raise awareness and offer support for people suffering from mental illness. Proceeds from 'Angel in the Outfield' will benefit the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier and their efforts to offer Mental Health First Aid training right here in our community.

If you'd like to learn more about this event, or if you'd like to participate in the tournament, reach out to Patrick Carter at 607-349-0523.
