Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry may no longer be together, but Perry says she'll always have the memory of Bloom's internet-scandalizing nude paddleboard photos as keepsakes.

In August 2016, tabloids published photos that found Bloom taking to the high seas in the buff with Perry by his side, and Perry says in a new interview with Australia's Kyle and Jackie O that while Bloom never intended for the stunt to go public, he certainly wasn't acting shyly by the shore.

“He wanted to show off for the people on the shore. He thought it was funny!” she said, and added that he “asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was like, ‘ah no…’ You know when you’re dating someone sometimes, it’s exciting to be like, ‘Oh, should we try and make out over here in this place’ or what have you, and I was just not in the mood. I saved it for the boat."

Then, when the image made the requisite rounds on social media, Perry said she couldn't help but see the irony in the exposure, as she'd just been explaining the process of social media wildfire to Bloom.

“Oh oh, it was so funny because I was explaining Twitter and social media to him for weeks because he had taken a break and then all of a sudden he was like trending number one on Twitter," she said.

Bloom, himself, tried to explain the photos to Elle UK in an April interview, noting:

“We’d been completely alone for five days. Nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. So I had a moment of feeling free… What can I tell you? Note to self: you’re never free.”
