Sam Smith has literally been keeping quiet for the past few months, but now it looks like the singer is back in top form after he experienced a vocal chord hemorrhage. Smith proves that his voice has returned by posting a video of himself belting out an Elvis Presley hit on Instagram.

The black-and-white video showcases what appears to be a soundcheck or rehearsal. Someone starts playing the keyboard and we immediately hear Sam softly singing Elvis Presley's 1961 song "Can't Help Falling in Love." As he walks toward the middle of the stage and right in front of the camera, his voice starts to grow louder until he starts belting out those high notes that we've come to love.

Back in April, Sam had a vocal chord hemorrhage and was forced to cancel his tour in Australia. The following month, the "I'm Not the Only One" crooner had to get surgery to remedy his health situation.

The successful procedure didn't stop Sam from winning awards left and right. And when he was honored with the Top Male Artist trophy at the 2015 Billboard Awards, he thanked everyone in one of the sweetest ways possible. Using a series of cue cards, he expressed gratitude for the prize. He officially regained his voice in June but was only well enough to speak. He also earned the Best New Artist award at the 2015 BET Awards. Unfortunately, he couldn't attend to accept the honor.

But now it looks like he's ready to take the stage once again and we can't wait to see him perform live.
