Say Goodbye to Thongs and Hello to Granny Panties [POLL]

It wasn't that long ago that the style you'd often see, especially when you went out, where girls wearing thongs that came above their jeans. Everyone saw the color, texture and just how skimpy your thong was. I never understood this style to be quite honest.

Girls started wearing thongs and you could find a whole variety of them. The skimpier the better it seemed. Underwear in general became sexy and slinky...which is great until you have to go to the doctors and your tearing your dresser apart trying to find full panty that isn't see through! Well good news ladies...seems like sexy underwear are out and granny panties are back in!

Thong sales have gone down 7% over the past year and sales of larger types of women's underwear are up 17%. There are a few theories as to why the trends are changing.

Here are three theories:

1. They are more comfortable.

2. They can be more flattering on some women. Sorry guys but it's true. By covering up areas you feel insecure about, they could actually make you feel sexier. And under clothes it can give you an extra layer of coverage to hide flaws.

3. They make a feminist statement. Maybe, but I'm still shaving my arm pits!
