A Town From ‘The Walking Dead’ Is for Sale

If you've got a couple of extra bucks from your tax return and want to buy some inexpensive land, this is your chance! Ebay, that right, Ebay, is where you can find a listing for an entire downtown area. This isn't just any downtown though, you can own The Walking Dead's, Downtown Grantville, Alabama! 

Here's an excerpt from the eBay listing:

"This is an opportunity for someone to own a piece of history. The City of Grantville is a vibrant community just south of Newnan, Georgia. This downtown area is always being scouted by the movie industries and has been home to several blockbusters, as well as TV shows like, The Walking Dead, who have filmed several episodes in the downtown area. The area for sale is approximately 34,000 square feet of usable space. In real life, it's pretty much a ghost town. No zombies. The only real industry there is Walking Dead tours. Several other movies are reportedly renting it out, although the only one that's listed is another upcoming sequel of The Ring.

Anyway, now you can own it for the low, low price of $680,000. That gets you a significant portion of the downtown area, including nine buildings of residential and commercial space, totaling about 34,000 square feet.

Former Mayor Jim Sells (now that is ironic), is the one selling it after he bought the properties out of foreclosure during the recession. He's done some renovations and says, "The hard work has been done. We're looking for somebody to put it all into action."
