When you get up in the morning, you probably have a nice and nutritious breakfast and then brush your teeth. Well, if that is your routine then you are making a health mistake that you probably didn't even realize.

These health mistakes are not the kind you would think to be mistakes, but the reasoning as to why they are mistakes makes sense.

Brushing after eating breakfast is a no-no. Brushing after eating acidic foods - especially fruit and juice - can weaken enamel, says Mark Wolff, D.D.S., Ph.D., of NYU College of Dentistry. That may lead to discoloration or greater odds of cracks and chips.

If you didn't brush before eating breakfast then wait about 40 minutes after you eat. Swish with water and wait 40 minutes for the calcium in your saliva to re-mineralize weakened areas. Then brush.

If you are one of those people that likes fresh air, and drives to work with the window down then you are committing another health mistake. Or, if you microwave your lunch in the plastic container, then you are also hurting your health.

One of the biggest things a lot of do that is hurting us is checking our email before bed. Managers who use their smartphone for work after 9 p.m. wake up groggy, a University of Florida study found. And a large Singaporean study shows that too little sleep can raise your odds of dying of stroke.

Do you think that these tips are good or just people being a little too critical?
