Getting Prepared For Hurricane Sandy

iStockphoto/Thinkstock

Hurricane Sandy is most likely going to impact us greatly here in the Southern Tier so make sure you are prepared for the storm.

You should have a supply of water (they recommend a gallon on water per person per day) non-perishable, ready to eat foods on hand. Make sure to have ample supplies of medication, battery operated radios and extra batteries, flash lights, candles and make sure to be prepared to take pets with you incase you are evacuated.

Also watch out for downed power lines. Stay out of flooded basements.

If you need more information on how to prepare for Hurricane Sandy you can call 1-888-769-7243 or 1-518-485-1159.
